The year was 1955 when I first began my experiments with the fabrics of space and time
Literaries such as Wells and Bradbury had already tackled this fabled endeavor
But in the world of hard science, it was still
MERELY A MYTH
The secrets of the universe were begging me to be unlocked
And only within my own mind resided the key
A device that had never been realized before that I have chosen to deem
THE FLUX CAPACITOR
The idea came in a dream
I was standing on a hill looking down at the lake
but the water, frozen mid-wave, was still as glass
I was approached by a young man whom I did not know, but I knew his name was
MARTY!
Marty led me to an abandoned library
Deep with the library he pulled a book from the shelf
He opened the book and pointed to a picture I have never seen before
A picture of
THE FLUX CAPACITOR
Some envision time as a straight line
And everything that is happening right now
Could be happening concurrently in a separate universe
Two entirely independent universes existing independently
YET BOTH EXISTING!
Some envision time as a circle
And everything that is happening right now
Will happen again, but also has happened before
And I know this to be true 'cause of
THE FLUX CAPACITOR
Time is broken
Needs a suture
Forward to the past
Back to the future
So I guess the insane wobblebass instrument is a contrabass clarinet, but they usually both play saxophones. "Contra" is slick with production value but sounded just as good live, just without vocals Wave of the Future
